Is anyone else second guessing all of their decisions?

Is anyone else second guessing all of their decisions?

I don't know what is wrong with me! I'm getting married at a beautiful place, the NRC, I've ordered a beautiful dress, I love the BM dresses, I keep second guessing EVERYTHING from the invites, to the dj to the photographer I think I'm nuts!!!

The thing is, I'm normally not like this!!! I don't know if it's because everyone I know is getting married and I'm surrounded by so many nice options, but I feel so unsure about it all!

Thank God the one thing I am sure about is my FH!!!

Oh yeah! My dress, my earrings, my invites, my vendors - everything! I think it's just that there's a lot riding on the day. But in the end, it's just one day. I'm trying to remember that!

Oh yeah..I second guessed EVERYTHING..even the groom...it got bad...but its normal..I think I was feeling like everything should be perfect, that I should look perfect, that we should have the best of the best..and yet while I booked everything>>i was confident I was getting the very best, yet I STILL second guessed evrything, I drove myself crazy. Its wierd, the only thing I didnt second guess is my dress...I love my dress..but my hair was a nightmrae, couldnt make up my mind, second guessed every little detail. Its all normal from what Ive told, theys ay its the biggest party youll ever throw...now that Im down to 27 days..Im so sick of the stress that Im not second guessing much..I just wnat to get it over with..I want to see how this party Ive planned falls into place. It will get better for you...as time goes by, you will become more confident in your decisions..just remember..you chose them for a reason, trust yourself...dont doubt yourself!!!!

The only thing I've second guessed is the dress. I feel very confident in our vendors and we spent a lot of time researching all of them before we booked.

I'm second guessing the ceremony site. May be too small & now my reception hall chapel is booked

I second guessed everything in the beginning too. There is so much pressure for every little detail to be perfect, you can't help yourself sometimes. There are also so many great choices and ideas out there, there is a good possibility you may see something you like better. I learned to just let it go. I picked the best vendors I could, and I won't drive myself crazy over one day.
Deep breath and relax, everything will come together, and you'll have a great day I'm sure!

Oh my goodness, YES!! I've 2nd guessed myself to the 10th power on everything from the reception site to the photographer, to the amount of $$ we are spending to the DATE (which we eventually changed!)!!! I have no idea how I'll ever decide on a dress with this attitude. But when I get like this about vendors I've already booked, I try to remind myself what I thinking when I booked them and how I felt about them when I did. It usually helps when I remind myself why I originally chose what I did.

I second guess myself alot.. but then I realize where its coming from. When you start telling people what you did, and what you booked you get tons of information from their points of view, which is not bad at all.. In the end it just makes me second guess myself. Thats what happened right before I booked the hall. I really fell in love with the place told some people about it and they were like well what about this place and what about that place and you have plenty of time, but if you like it boook it. So that made me definitly second guess myself. Then I finally decided to just listen to me and my FH thoughts, and we booked the hall. It's great to get opinions but its something about weddings that drives you crazy!

oh yeah baby! It's that little voice in the back of your head that says 'everything has to be perfect' annoying isn't it. I don't usually obsess about little things either but I am definately doing it now - i think my FH thinks I'm losing it.

I was second guessing the photographer! But nothing else.

I have second guessed everything. I think it's perfectly OK and healthy as long as you don't start losing sleep over it. You want your wedding to be exactly the way you want it, it is one of the most important and memorable days of your life, so you want to be thorough in making sure you make the right choices. But usually, you made your decision for a good reason, and if you remember why you made the decision, you will be OK. I would say that every detail is important, so don't make any hasty decisions. Good luck!

I do it all the time. But then I snap out of it.

I wish I could just get all my deposits back, no questions asked, and then go to Ireland and book a CASTLE for the reception and have the wedding there. Honeymoon in Europe for dirt cheap. Instead we are paying $$$$ for a wedding where most of FH's friends can't come to and while my friends and relatives can, half of them I don't even hear from anymore and some of my relatives can't be bothered to meet my FH! We could have saved so much money (like half of what we are spending) if we decided to do it that way.

But at the time it was better to have it here.
Long story.

Oh well. Live and learn

ETA: that does not mean I am not happy with my choices (except the dress, but I havne't seen it yet since I ordered it). I really am happy with all my choices of vendors!

Re: Is anyone else second guessing all of their decisions?

The only time I start second guessing stuff is when I read a bad review from someone else about that particular vendor (DJ, hall, etc...). So I get nervous and panicky. But one of my girlfriends reminded me that what is bad to one person may be exactly what makes them great to another. So, I'm just trying to trust my first instincts and keep my fingers crossed. LOL.
