Is anyone else sick of hearing other peoples opinions?

It really hasn't been so much with wedding stuff, just friends telling us how to live ours lives. One neighbor of my parents told my Dad that I should talk to my Grandparents. How is that any of her business? They are horrible people that I chose not to associate with, and thats my business. Then another friend told me that my fiance is stupid for not finding work with the degree he earned. He found out he didn't like it? So what? She said that now he won't earn as much and then she has the nerve to say that I am spoiled. I know that I am very lucky. My parents paid for my schooling, but that was because my brother passed away 2 years ago and they had the money they had put away for his college. I just think that was so wrong of her. I felt like saying, well at least you have siblings, that is more 'well off' (her words)...I have been through a lot with that, and I work hard at school so I think I deserve some of the good things that happen to me.....UHHHGGRRR!!! Thanks for letting me vent.....

no one will ever know your situation like you do - so only you can know what's best for you. Don't let stupid people's opinions get you down. As long as your happy and ur marrying the man of your dreams - everything will come together. As they always say - money doesn't buy happiness. What I've found in life is that it's usually the miserable people who have to go around commenting on nonsensical things like where your FH works and who you should and should not associate with.

remember - if you try to make everyone else happy - u'll only end up making yourself miserable.

I completely understand your points! I'm the youngest of 5 kids in my family, & everyone feels like I need to hear their opinions!!! It's so nerve wracking! I've just learned to say, 'Thanks for your opinion, but this is still what I'm going to do.' Seriously, I would never have the nerve to say 1/2 of the things that have been said to me!

There is always going to be someone who is going to try and tell you what is best for you. Maybe they should look at their own lives and appreciate what THEY have instead of trying to butt into your business.
I know how you feel-when people feel $hitty about their own lives they tend to turn on others...dont let it get you down!
