Is anyone else waiting for iteams from pottery barn

They had a prolem in their warehouse...I was told.
I had orded a few shades over a month ago. I called yesterday, and found out only one will be shipped. They had some sort of problem that closed the warehouse for over a week! Now they arent sure if I can get both shades and 250 are ahead of me on the list . The girl felt they will run out of them! She told me not to sign for the first shade (since one does me no good lol ) when it comes on ups. I am very disapointed.

I ordered some stuff from them last weekend and was disappointed with the service.

First the girl is the store was pretty much useless besides to place an order - she couldn't answer one of my questions. I was getting very annoyed at her lack of knowledge.

Then she told me to call on Monday for my tracking numbers. Since DH and I both work in the city - I wanted to work with UPS to deliver the packages when I would be home or something similar. So I don't get around to it until Friday and when I call they say the shelves shipped but in two orders and gave my two tracking numbers. Then tells me that for the table I ordered - there was some kind of problem and it won't get shipped for at least another week - to call late next week for a tracking number. So I go home that night and there is the table in front of my door - $400 in front of my door for anyone to steal! Now - I ask how did they have no records of this shipping...I wonder if I will get another in a couple weeks???? Still waiting on the shelves but at least I can track them with UPS.

I was just displeased with their lack of customer service.

I order from pottery barn all the time and have never had a problem. I do most of my stuff online though because I have found that in most of the stores the sales people have no knowlegde of the merchandise or how to order so it's easier to do myself. : )

We registered at PB and everything comes shipped via Fed Ex ground. Fed Ex ground is a subcontracting delivery service that does not use signatures and will leave things at your doorsteps!! Well shocker here - I live in NYC - things that are left on your doorstep all day with a big Pottery Barn return label might not be there for long. So a few items were presumeably stolen.

When i found out, I called PB and they were very apologetic and sent replacement items right away.
