is anyone else's FH this annoying?? (need to vent)

he started out nice & layed back, but now he is driving me crazy. when we first got engaged, my mom asked FH what was most important to him about the wedding, & he said he would like to have a band. & clearly stated this was all he was worried about. so i opened my big mouth & said well its your wedding too so you can have an opion about everything.

everything i pick is no good. the color is wrong or he doesn't like the flowers or it is too cheap. the most annoying part is that he doesn't give helpful advice. for instance i found this bouquet i really like on-line. i e-mailed a picture to my sister & we decided that size would be my bo-k & the bridal party would have the same thing only smaller. i showed my mom & she loved the idea. well i showed FH (since his mom is paying for the flowers) & he said, 'i don't like it.' when i asked him what he would prefer. he said, 'i don't know, just not that.' i wanted to throw something at him.

the only thing i have asked him to do with the wedding is to receive confirmation so we can get married in church. well this is still up in the air, since his parish only does confirmation class on sunday & there is football on sunday.

My FH has an opinion about things I didn't think he could possibly have an opinion about (i.e, flowers)! I learned a neat little word 'compromise'. It's fun looking for things we BOTH like. It is his wedding too, and if every decision comes from us... then it makes it special.

At first I found it annoying, but i learned to embrace it, and now we're having a great time looking at vendors.

Same thing - he only cared about the band, then all of a sudden, nothing I do he likes!

After hearing him complain, I finally said, there are no negative comments about the wedding, if you don't like something you better have a good reason and an alternate solution. Since then, FH has been much better. Maybe saying something similar will help you. Or you could go with my other line 'this is my day and its all about me so butt out!'

he is crazy. my sister & i have been looking at RH's and after we get done with the no we don't like this place & mom & dad wont pay for this i am going to take him. but he is nice & does ask what we thought when we come home. he has a nice normal conversation about what we liked & didn't like & then the second my sister leaves, he asks me the prices. & i explained that this one place which my sister & i really like my parents would prefer the friday & since it is cheaper for the same exact thing on a saturday would upgrade to surf & turf for the extra $500. first thing he did was take out a calculator. when i asked him what he was doing, he said he had to make sure they were spending more then he spent on my engagement ring. & he neglected to look at the total price after tax & gratuity. this made me so mad that i started screaming at him about how he is making this into a competition & that is really not all they are paying for, since my mom is buying my dress & she is also doing the shower.

this whole wedding thing has made him so cheap its ridiculous. so this morning when i left for work i told him that he is driving me so crazy i am going away for the weekend & when i come back i expect him to snap out of being so cheap. he has called me out work atleast 20 times today. lol. ->maybe this will work
