My DH is totally addicted to the History Channel and anything related to WWII. With the 60th anniversary of D-Day coming next week the TV is loaded with shows about the war. I find it interesting to a point, but he is driving me crazy with it this week. We have to watch everyone
His other TV obsession - diving for wrecks, if a show even hints that a diver will be going down, we have to watch.
I am grateful for our move overseas, because he has finally discovered network TV like ER, Will & Grace and sitcoms/dramas other then Seinfeld (another addicition of his)
So is anyone else battling for the remote???

YES!!! DH is a huge war history buff, especially WWII!! We were watching 'the longest day' the other night. and other various stuff on history. ANd i too find it interesting, up to a point. But he watches things about the planes and stuff... c'mon! (i forgot it was the anniversary... so now im sure he'll be taking over the TV)
between war stuff and Mets games i have to BEG to watch regular tv every once in awhile.

Totally!! My DH is into that and the discovery channel - history stuff and building stuff (modern marvels). He's such a geek - but he's my geek :)
like the other night - he was glued to the tube watching a million year old movie on pearl harbor and I was trying to get some 'action' ;)

That is funny, I put the wink in the title because I was going to say the History Channel is like the other woman, and then I forgot. I guess being a history buff is common for the guys.

My DH is addicted to the travel channel. It is just about all he watches, except for the Simpsons. I keep asking when we are going to go to all the places he watches about. Oh and the world series of poker is on the travel channel, so thats another thing we are both actually addicted to!!

my FH is not really addicted to the History Channel, though he will watch it a heckuva lot more than I do.
what he REALLY loves is the Discovery Channel , or whichever channel it is that all the car and motocycle shows are on , i.e. American Chopper. He was watching a marathon of that show on Monday!!

My FH is addicted to .. the show ANIMAL FACE OFF on the Discovery channel. Besides that show, the only other channel/show he watches is ESPN and thank god we have 2 TV's in the house!!!

She's addicted to the HBO shows. I'm addicted to Mets baseball.. MSG ESPN but I will watch the Cubs on WGN too. The History Channel is a minor addiction I admit.
On the other hand.. I am a total news junkie.. MSNBC is a fav.. and I love CNBC too.
In my old age of 33, stocks have become very important to me.

If I see one more Law & Order episode (regular or SVU) I might scream. While I love Jerry Orbach, enough is enough! I can't believe TBS or TNT or whoever shows all the reruns puts them all on back to back every night! And he is obsessed with JAG too. And the travel channel, but I enjoy that myself.
I just wish one day he'd not turn on the TV. I told him when we have kids they will NOT be couch potatoes and neither will he.

Is the Style Network the same as E! ? Because on Monday mornings they used to have shows on at 10 or 11am that were style related (like the one that showed how different beauty products were made) and the voiceovers would say Style Network but it was on E! .
I am addicted to my ch. 7 soaps but I don't tape anymore (1 tv, he gets home first, you get the picture ) and us Bronxites do not get the Soap Network And I like TLC. But I'd rather watch movies if I had a choice.

FI is totally the same way. Anything and everything that has to do with WWII he has to watch. He is such a history buff, that sometimes it drives me crazy.
