I feel like since Ive gotten engaged and busy planning the wedding and especially buying a new home and dealing w/ that, I feel like I NEVER get to see my friends anymore. Many have babies now and other who are single are 'on another page' in life. Ive been kind of sad over it. I miss the old days sometimes of hanging out w/ my friends. Being a responsible adult STINKS!!!!

I feel like this even without planning the wedding! I work so much that I never get to see anyone. Maybe you can schedule a girl's night and just spend some quality time with the ladies.

Most definately! I hadn't seen my MOH in over a month...I finally got to see her on Saturday even though it was only for about an hour! Both of us are planning our weddings so it is just so hard!!!
It is great to have friends that understand being 'busy' even though I feel so terrible!

I miss my college years. I think about how much fun it was all the time. No career worries, no responsibilities, just good ole times.

Re: Is anyone experiencing this??
Yes, even before the wedding.
Sometimes I just miss the days I used to have hanging out with all my girls. Even if I didn't have FH it would have all changed though.
Part of grouping up is starting your own life, and you just don't spend as much time with you friends.
I have friends planning their weddings, some have baby's, others have jobs that get in the way.
It will just never be the same as when we were younger and about 10 of us went out, yeah right with a month of planning 10 of us would never be able to get together!!!

Re: Is anyone experiencing this??
This happened to me a long time ago when I had my son. It was a hard transition but it's worth it. Now I have three great boys (2 are my FI from previous marriage) and a new FI. I try to see it as a new chapter in my life as opposed to looking bad and missing 'those good ole days.' Embrace the change instead of fighting it, it goes smoother and much more memorable.

I hear ya, but it has more to do with the financial end of the wedding than the time spent planning. All of my really close friends live in other states. Before I started saving I would have flown to AZ for Columbus Day weekend to see a friend (odd numbered years are my turn to go out there), but this year I couldn't justify the cost. Didn't go to Florida for 4th of July this year either. Won't be headed to Virginia for the annual New Year's Eve bash, or my annual X-mas shopping trek in early December.

Yeah. Even though none of us are actually married yet, we are all in long term commited relationships - so it seems like we are all old married couples already! Plus they are scattered throughout LI, so it is hard to coordinate.
It stinks

All of my girlfriends are single. I barely see them. They all go to the bars every weekend and I'm just not into it anymore. I like being home with FH but I miss my friends too.
