So im a teacher and next year im teaching a new grade (2nd), and i want to graduate with my masters in may (before the wedding) but in order to do that i have to take 3 classes next semester and 2 the following semester
soo now im just starting to freak out bc i dont know how im going to pay for the wedding or my 3 classes..i also dunno how im going to have time to plan the wedding, do the work for the 3 classes, and teach a new grade..so im getting really stressed out uhh sorry guys just need to vent

Can you take on-line classes for your program? I did that and it was sooooo easy and took up no time at all, I actually did alot of my classes during my prep at school. Also teaching anew grade or curriculum stinks but I have done it 3 times already and once you get started its really not that bad. You might be planning on Sunday nights but thats okay. Also I took out a loan from my bank to pay the remainder of my masters program and its almost paid off already. If I wanted, I could've paid as litttle as $50 a month. You can make it work. You might not have as much free time as you did last year but it will be worth it in the end. Think of all the people who do the same thing and have 3 kids at home. It could be worse

I hear you. I'm in the same place you are. I taught second grade last year. I can help you with anything you need. I'm teaching 4th grade next year with another teacher. I just finised my masters in may and im starting another one in sept. i'm going to be taking two classes. I'm trying to plan as much as I can now that we are off.

Jenise, I understand what you re going through. I am sorry that you are sooo stressed! I think you will handle it all! It is just a matter of timing! oh yeah and cold hard cash! Having a wedding on Long Island is rough, but we are all here together so yahoo for LiWeddings, and the 08 brides,,, we will all make it through! It's tough teaching that age. I taugh second this year and loved it. I really wanted to stay in second but I'm being moved to 4th grade. I'm going to teach inclusion.

one of the classes im taking is an online one so hopefully its not too bad..and i am seriously considering student loans but ive been doing ok paing it as i go along until now lol so i really didnt want to do it but im thinking i might have to

I teach 7th grade special ed. all of my kids have emotional.behavioral problems. I have learning disabilities thrown in there too. As crazy as it gets I would never think about doing anything else

I tutor a lot of fourth graders and that is such an awesome age. I know the ELA's make everyone crazed but the kids start to show their characters and personalities. You'll have fun

Yeah, I'm happy I love the older students. You can talk to them. I have worked with the older kids preparing them for all the state tests. Plus, I will have another teacher with me so we should be fine. I would really like to teach reading one day. I just got my certifation in literacy.

Us too! We have to cut down on expenses and the first to go was the music But I just got a couple of more tutoring jobs so I am trying to persuade FH to add that back into our big day ha ha ha ha ha

i taught 5th grade the last 2 years and as much as i liked how they were older and easier to explain things to..i am soooo happy im going down to a younger grade...i teach in a not-so-good area and the 5th grade kids are NUTS (they are the oldest in the school so they think they are the tough guys and have the WORST attitutes) lol...but i think if i taught in long island i would llove the older grades haha

nice, i took on waiting tables for extra $$$, but they hired a bunch of full timers which I understand, and now they arent giving me hours

Wow- you do have a full load! But, you WILL be able to get everything done. As soon as school eases in, you will be fine with the new grade. As far as weding planning. You have a lot of the big stuff done already, right? So you wont have too, too much to do and you still have a year. And then classes in between it all (student loans, maybe??). Just take it one day at a time. And maybe try and get some things done before Sept. It will be a very busy year, but you can do it. We all have faith in you and we are all here if you need some emergency wedding planning advice....or to vent about the 2nd graders..lol
