They have so many resorts there - i'm just curious about info on them...

I looked into it but nixed it once I looked at the travel plans. You must fly into either UAE (United Arab Emirates), Pakistan or Malaysia to get there and I wasn't willing to do that on an American passport.

My friends went there on their honeymoon, they LOVED it!
I dont' remember the exact routing b/c it was the second stop on their HM. But, they flew New York to Paris and then went to the Seychelles, from there they went to the Maldives (not sure which airline and stopovers, but I do know my friend -- the groom -- is quite circumspect with regard to travel, so he wouldn't have done something outrageously risky)

You can fly on Singapore Air- and stop in Singapore. You don't have to go through the Middle East.

i think that it is somewhere around 24 hours.
After the stop and time zone changes its a 2 day difference. but you pick up the time zone changes on your way back.

We talked about it. But eventually decided to go to Paris and Mauritius (an island in the indian ocean). Mauritius is closer by and has better food.
