cherry blossom centerpieces when they are NOT in bloom? If so, are they a lot more expensive??

I would love to have cherry blossoms, but they are not in bloom at the end of June. We haven't set the date yet, so I suppose we could get married the end of May, but I really wanted June.

I believe an 09'er used them in her centerpiece..but I can't remember her name. They are only in season for a should time. You should check with a florist. They are beautiful though but I know they were not in season for my wedding.

Hey we are having what are florist called pear blossoms. I think they're like cherry blossoms but the color is white. If i'm not mistaken cherry blossoms are pinkish???in color? If they are similar our florist Rob from Pedestals said that end of may they would be in full bloom and perfect!!! You should definately call a florist and inquire. By the way Rob from Pedestals is very nice and down to earth, you should call him.

Thanks so much for the suggestion! I will definitely look into pear blossoms as well. Ideally I wanted to have a pink and green color scheme, but I'm sure the white would be beautiful as well! Also..thanks for the florist suggestion, I will look into Pedestals!

I was told that you can't get cherry blossoms from anywhere else during off-season because they only bloom at a certain time around the entire world.
Don't know if that is true though...

I think in general if a flower is not in season they will charge you extra for it....like I'm having some orchids and being charged extra for it.

My colors are pink and brown so I was DEAD set on having cherry blossom centerpieces...
I went to like 4 florists who all said the same thing...its a no go...Im getting married in Nov and cherry blossoms only bloom like once a year so its impossible to get them any other time then wehn they bloom...so dissapointing

I did go to flowers by gina and she did a GORG silk cherry blossom arrangement which DID look real, but I decided to go with flower michele and use orchids instead....
