i saw on platinum weddings a couple that had a fog machine for their first dance ... i think that's such a cute idea ... but that couple paid $1500 which is ridiculous. then again, i think those people just over-pay for everything becasue they're so rich they don't care.

anyway, is anyone having a fog machine for the dance floor? if so, how much did it cost?

our hall includes it - its called 'dancing on a cloud'. not 100% sure if we will use it for first dance.

but since FH insisted on getting lazer lights (like in an old J-Lo video), we will be using some fog later on to really show off the lazers

You can get a fog machine for under $100 so the $1500 charge is ridiculous. I'd probably skip it anyway. I've used tem a lot in theatre and there are 2 issues- 1) the fog might irritate some guests and 2) sometimes it leaves a residue and you don't want anyone slipping.

Our DJ offers it for like $200 or so... not sure but def under $300. But I agree with HS Sweethearts... I find it bothers some people so FH and I decided against it.

I agree with the above. They bother my allergies and irritate my eyes like crazy! Plus, I want to see the couple dancing and not be crying b/c there is fog stuff in my eyes.
