Re: is anyone having a wedding for less than 80 people?
I am. We're having 75 people. We haven't picked a place yet, but we're looking at Timberpoint Country Club and Danfords. I'm not sure what you're looking for. We wanted something alittle different. I love the water - that's why danfords is so great and they're very willing to work with you. They're a little more money though - about $100 per person. Timberpoint is $75 plus 18% so it's not that much cheaper. Timberpoint is one wedding at a time and I really like the scenery. They bay is right there and you can see Fire Island from there.

Re: is anyone having a wedding for less than 80 people?
Are you having dancing? Because if not, you can have it at a nice restaurant. Where are you looking - Nassau or Suffolk?

Re: is anyone having a wedding for less than 80 people?
My mom recommended La Marmite restaurant in Williston Park. She was there for an anniversary party and loved it. It's just too far for me. She called there to inquire about prices and they were very accomodating. You should look into it.

Tania,Try Caffe on the Green in Whitestone/Bayside. They have reasonable prices and the food is good.
Also, try Villa Marcello in Ozone Park. I am having a surprise party for DH there on Saturday. The prices are great and the food is delicious. I think the bigger room has space for dancing.

I am! Having it at Three Village Inn in Stony Brook. We chose a bigger package but they have packages starting at $37.95 a person! Good luck!

Oh I forgot! They also have cheaper packages. $35/pp
For 3 hours packages, prices are even lower.
I did not want a 'restaurant' type wedding reception. So that was perfect for me!

Tania..check out New Hyde Park Inn or actually I think its called Inn at New Hyde Park now...but they have very nice rooms and great food. I am not sure about pricing, but I am sure they are reasonable and they are right on the Nassau/Queens border.
