Is anyone here a Nascar fan???

If so, could you tell me what happened between Tony Stewart & Brian Vickers after today's race???? I keep missing the highlights

ETA: regarding the fight, not the 'bump' during the race....

OMG...figures...something happens immediately after i force my FH to turn it off...

OMG My FH would be SOOO jealous...
I got him tickets to the Poconos race the other week...It was his first time...He loved it...bought these haed phones that allow you to hear what they say from the car to the pits...

So whos ya fav...Dale (everyone loves him)

I like Ryan Newman and Sterlin Marlin

Dale, of course, but only since this past year b/c he got it together & is really racing....before it was like people dug him cuz of his dad (who we LOVED)

I like Jimmie Johnson & Brian Vickers....but DH HATES Johnson b/c he is with Hendricks motor sports (& Jeff Gordon)


I like Ryan Newman also, but I am not a big Sterlin Marlin fan

So who do you despise???? (That's the real die-hard NASCAR question!)

I can't stand Jeff Gordon!! HATE HIM

FH doesn't like Ricky Rudd, Matt Kenseth (competition for dale)

I really like Dale Earnheart...sad that i only got to see a few races he was in before he died!!

I don't necessarily like him.... but I have to respect Jeff Gordon... just for all the personal life BS he has had to deal with.

Has anyone heard about his divorce? Talk about being UGLY! His ex-wife was literally trying to take him to the cleaners. Not saying he wasn't at fault... don't know the details... but was definitely an ugly situation with all the laundry being done right out in the public's eye.

I like all the dodge guys... since I drive a dodge Intrepid myself (which is what Dodge uses to race).

I like the new young guy that is in the dodge....casey Kahne

I loved Dale Sr.......we used to watch him all the time....we were all at my bar watching the day he crashed.....it was soooo sad.

Jeff Gordon does have personal stuff, but he kinda brought it on himself. I respect him, but I do not like the way he races.

I am also a Dodge chik......I had an SST pick-up & we just bought Hemi 1500

Unfortunately their wins are few & far between

BUT if it wasn't for the guys we hate, Sundays would not be as much fun!

I heard that Steve Park went to COmmack HS...My almamatuer!!!

I agree i do not like Busch either!

I like Kerry Earnheart better than Dale...Everyone likes him which is why i don't i guess

yep......it has to be hard being a NASCAR wife.....when DH & first got together, he was trying to get his Winston Cup license...... I love when he races....he is so happy & alive, but the though of that road schedule just makes my skin crawl. (And let's not forget what happened in 'Days of Thunder.')

WOW that is cool getting the license...
After seeing those crashes...NO WAY JOSE!

Yeah, he never finished the training.....his last month started the day dale crashed....it shed a whole new light on things.


DH & I still love to race, just not at 200+ mph.

But you see... I am not even sure Gordon cheated? It might have just been a split for the hell of it. Lemme find some articles about this and i'll post them. She was actually labeled as a money hungry for taking it too far. It was in the news.

But I am a dodge guy too. Don't have the Hemi... but I do have the Intrepid (the car all the Dodge racers use).

I think Kasey will become one of the best drivers out there in a few years. He is still very young.

Ok... i re-read the info on this. She is citing 'Marital Misconduct' (obviously). There is no 'suspect'. There is no proof (yet) that he even did anything. Who knows.

She filed for divorce... but what she wants from him is absolutely INSANE. She wants exclusive use of their 10.2 mansion in Florida, as well as alimony, two cars (the porche and mercedes 600), and periodic use of their boats and an airplane. She also wants him to pay the salaries of their housekeepers, maintenance workers, and chef.

She is trying to find out what salary he makes since all Nascar salary and earnings are kept secret due to sponsoring.

Jeff Gordon has countersued saying he shouldn't have to split the house because he 'risked his life' to collect it.

Definitely a nasty divorce, and perhaps the nastiest divorce out of all the current celebrities. I am glad I am not married to her. But then again, I definitely would have kept my willy in my pants.
