Is anyone here a Project Manager?

I always thought this sounded like a great career. How did you break in?

That is part of my title, because I manage the Computer database for my office and the upgrade to the new system. I think it depends on what 'project' you manage in terms of breaking in...What happened to working in a college?

Re: Is anyone here a Project Manager?

I work at a university now, and I LOVE my job, but the commute is killing me. I don't think I could get the same salary on LI as I have now though for the same work. (Also, I am still working on my BA for a job that prefers a Masters - I am very lucky).

So I'm thinking of other careers that I might like and have a decent salary.
