Is anyone honeymooning in Greece?

We're going to Crete and we're staying at the Aegean Palace. We might also go to Santorini and Spain, but we're not sure where we're staying there.

fi & I are thinking about Santorini & Spain as well

Ladies...I am Greek and I have been going to Greece every summer since I can remember. I went to Santorini last year and it is incredible. We stayed at a really beautiful hotel called El Greco (see link below). I highly reccommend it. We had a room with a huge balcony facing the sunset/volcano. It was absoultey breathtaking. I would highly reccommend Santorini but for no more than a week. I have also been to Corfu, which I would also reccommend for a honeymoon. We loved Corfu because there was so much to do and the beaches were nicer than Santorini. I haven't been to Crete yet, but I heard beautiful things about that island as well. I really don't think you can go wrong as far as honeymooning in Greece. The locals are very friendly and speak English (esp. in Santorini since it is a tourist area).

Junebride04 is right - My parents and a few of my friends have stayed at resorts on Crete and there is a beautiful resort on Rhodes (I can ask what the name was) and they had a fabulous time.
I have been to all of those islands except corfu.

I am !! We are doing a 4 day classical tour of the main land. Then 2 nights in Santorini (katikisis?) and 3 mights in Rhodes.

Where should we stay in Rhodes. My travel agent has us at the BEst Western. She said it is in town and it is a 4 star but the words Best Western, makes me nervous.

As for security. We are a little worried. My mom is very worried but we are going anyway.

I would love to, but if I go, I know I'm going to be involved in an ongoing war as to which family I would be visiting... how long I would be staying here - there....

I'm very upset about it....
