My sister's best friend is Moby but she has not decided of she want's him to come. That's as far as my celebrityism goes. (Is that even a word?)

We had Doug Geed at our wedding. He is an anchor man on channel 12 news. He is good friends with the family and my brother works for news 12 also. One of my husband's friends was like 'WOW, Doug Geed is at your wedding!'

I'm thinking of inviting Ben Folds. We got engaged to his song 'the Luckiest' at his concert in Central Park last summer. My brother knows him and called him and asked him to play the song so my FI could ask me then! I don't know if he'll come, but maybe my brother can arrange it!

I LOVE THAT SONG!!!!!

Wow! No wonder this post is so long! Neat about David. Must be rough. I was a camp counsellor for Matthew Broderick/Sarah Jessica Parker's Nephew. He was in love with me. If only his uncle had been. *sigh*

Nope, no one famous at my wedding!

ETA: I'm sending an invite to Mickey and Minnie!

and someone stole the crust off my plate!@!!!!! MINE!!!
That mad me SICK!

Maybe they were hungry.

Why would you want someone famous there, to steal your spot light all day? From what I hear you guys say, all the 'don't bother the bride, it's her day!' business. A celebrity will just take attention off of you.

Thought if they are related, what can you do.

Ray Romano is my FH's God Father.

Yes, I am serious. But neither him or his family have seen him in YEARS!

We were going to invite him, but FH would have had to speak to his mother's ex-boyfriend who he hasn't seen since he was a todler. So he flet awkward trying to get Ray Romano's address.

When 911 happened Ray Romano came to Ground 0, and saw one of FH's cousin's who is a fire fighter, and he asked how Hal and his family was doing. So....he still remember's them, and probably would have come to the wedding, or at least maybe made some contact. But FH didn't want to bother him.

I really wish we did invite him! But it was FH's call!

Did you hear the the president isn't goign to either of his daughter's graduations b/c the security would be a mess for everyone else who was attending?
That's gotta be rough.

So Maxine, I could see that maybe your cousin wouldn't want to come b/c he wouldn't want to take attention away fro you, especially if a lot of the other guests aren't related to him & never met him.

Dave Letterman was invited to my wedding- my dad is the head of security at the Late Show/bodyguard for him. He didnt go but he sent me Tiffany china!!! My dad future wife is the director of the show so a lot of the staff was at my wedding, including the head honcho, Jerry Foley..

I have to say, over the years, Dave has been so good to my family. When my grandfather dies(my dads dad) he sent flowers, when my nephew was very sick- he was inthe hospital for 4 months... he sent my sister flowers and stuff for the baby and put her up in a hotel room near columbia presbyterian so she could go back and forth... such a nice man. i have met him in person and he was very nice. It is very hard for him to live a normal life since he is constantly being followed, watched, critiqued. Hes ok in my book though

Ok when I was younger and in school people used to find out... b/c my friends all obviously new and would blab to everyone b/c they thought it made them look cool.... unfortunatly people wouldnt believe me and would make fun of me
I was so sick of it that I had to bring in a family album as proof just to shut people up. So since I cant do that here.... I dont think I should say

High school kids can be really mean.

I had a completely opposite problem. My last name is the same as a famous body builder. But we're NOT related. Some of the guys I went to HS with were convinced that we were related and used to harrass me. And there was NOTHING that I could do to prove that I wasn't

Re: Is anyone inviting any famous people to their wedding?

I want to be related to someone famous. I don't care they can have all the spotlight. I am totally star struck it is kind of silly. But whenever I see a famous person I am afraid to talkt o them because I don't want them to hate me for ruining their day when they want to be left alone. So i just kind of stare from across the street. I guess that is kind of creepy on my part now that i think of it.

I AM SORRY LADIES!!!!!!!
I have no SYMPATHY for the FAMOUS!!!!
it is the price they pay for being wher ethey are
I would NOT trade my life for theirs any day

some people are just so pathetic and can't handle seeing a famous person....they are human beings but in a whole different league
