The day after the wedding for your honeymoon?
and how do you feel about this??????
We may have to do this and I really didn't want to
We left the next day -- our flight was out of Newark at 5:30 pm (overnight flight to Europe). It was no big deal at all. In fact, we had a few hours to kill after brunch at the hotel with our OOT guests and when my parents drove us to the airport.
Why wouldn't you want to leave the next day?

Re: Is anyone leaving....
We're planning on leaving on Sunday morning (our wedding is on a Friday). but I don't think it would be a big deal if we left on Saturday evening instead. I just wouldn't make your flight too early. My parents did that (they had an 8am flight the morning after their wedding) and the stories are miserable!

Because of FH's job we can't go on our honeymoon until late October.

Re: Is anyone leaving....
It may wind up being an early flight and that whats I'm dreading. (i don't want to get up at 4am LOL) and I just one of those control freaks that needs to have everything settled, so I was hoping to do that on Sunday. We also won't be able to have breakfast with our guest the next morning

Re: Is anyone leaving....
We haven't booked yet but we might leave the next morning. That said, I refuse to take a super early flight. I'll only leave the next day if the flight leaves at 11 am or later.

That is my whole attitude about it also! LOL. We will probably have to sacrifice taking the nonstop flight by doing that though.....ughhhhhh. A life of layovers. Thats what its been the last few trips LOL...I guess I'll just **** it up...

Re: Is anyone leaving....
We did not want to do this b/c we both have family from our of town visiting... Greece and FL so we wanted the extra time with them. Also, we have to go to the bank and didn't want to pack with everything else we had to do leading up to the wedding. However, if you can do it... its great. I don't think the HM can start fast enough.

Re: Is anyone leaving....
We are leaving two days after for a mini moon. We are getting married the day before Easter so that's why we chose the day after that to leave so we can spend the holiday with family since they'll be all around.

Our wedding is Sunday. We're most likely going to go on our HM Tuesday morning. We can relax Monday and hang with some family.

We're getting married on a Sunday and leaving on a Tuesday. I think that'll it'll give us time to rest before we get to the HM and read all of those cards, run any last minute errands before we leave.

Our flight is at 8 am the next morning. We have no choice- the cruise we are going on leaves the next day. I am thinking it wont be all too bad since we are having a day wedding and the reception will be over by 6. No after party for us

We haven't booked yet, but are planning on leaving the next day. I don't think it will be too bad, as long as the flight isn't super early; we'll just sleep on the plane.

Re: Is anyone leaving....
Personally I would not recommend it- We were exhausted the morning after the wedding and I woke up sick with fever and all! DH and I were very glad we were not leaving until the next evening. We were married on Sunday and left Tuesday evening. If you can manage to take an extra day I would highly recommend it.

Re: Is anyone leaving....
We leave the Thursday after. I didn't want to leave the day after to just give myself time to unwind, count our money and get ready for it. Thursday ended up having cheaper airfare too.
