Is anyone located on the East End of Long Island?

Hello!
I am totally new to this site and I must say it was strange (but so exciting) to register and be asked 'bride's name' !!!

I'm wondering if anyone is located on the East End of Long Island. I have penciled my wedding date at the Montauk Downes in Montauk. I was wondering if anyone is having a wedding out here and can sympathize with the rediculous rates for out of towners etc for a summer wedding!

I do not live out on the East End, but I used to vacation there every year.... the costs are a bit much, but the beaches & views are beautiful. The restaurants out there are some of the best in New York!

I am from Sag harbor, and can totally sympathize about the pricing for the Summer!! THis is the reason we decided to have our wedding in October....and not in the Hamptons area...bu Montauk has a TON of lodging hotels, etc....check out montauk chamber of commerce (they have a website but I do not know the name of itoff the top of my head) and they list a lot of lodging places.....Good Luck!! I am originally from Hampton Bays too!! Did you go to high school in Hampton Bays? My parents still live there. I now live in the Manorville area.

Where are you from on the East End? What town? Even though I moved 20 - 25 minutes West from Hampton Bays I still consider myself an EAST END girl!
