Is anyone looking to add a place setting of their china?

Hi all, it seems like my previous post was deleted.

I have a brand new set of Vera Wang Grosgrain china that I would like to sell (discounted of course). I don't have the original boxes (which is why I can't return it) but nothing has ever been used (just sits in the china cabinet).

Now I don't really expect someone to purchase the whole thing but if you know anyone that has registered for this pattern and is looking to add maybe one or two place settings that they may not have gotten for their shower I'd appreciate if you could let them know.

My fiance and I need the $$$ to pay for our wedding as we've had some unexpected things come up recently. These go for $129 in the stores plus tax and realize I can't get anything close to that.

Maybe we can help each other out!!! I am not a store or business, just a FH trying to get some cash for the big day....

try craigslist or ebay...you wont get it sold here. thats not what this site is for.

Guess I will. It's posted here because I thought I could help someone out locally. Maybe they registered for twelve settings but got eight and didn't want to go pay $129 plus tax at Fortunoff or Macys. Instead of trying to win a bidding war on ebay I thought I would offer it up here first to someone that might know someone interested in this pattern. I figured the '06 Brides' would be a good place b/c people have been married a year, maybe they need to replace a broken plate and don't want to pay for shipping, tax etc, maybe they want a backup set to store away, who knows.

It's funny how you state that that's not the purpose of this site when half of all the posts are about what vendors to use, where to get hair and makeup done, halls etc (which all lead to a sale or contract of some sort). This is an informative local chat community with a common topic of weddings whereby people share experiences and thoughts with each other. Registering for china is something that is done when people get married.

Look, I'm not a scam artist or anything. I'm just offering someone the opportunity to purchase some place settings (either one or all of them)which would help my fiance and I out. Anyone is welcome to come and look at them first, I'm not hiding anything.

true...but no one is SELLING those services. they're simply offering advice. as opposed to your 7 posts of just selling your China...thats why they will keep coming down. if you want to advertise something for sale, you're gonna have to become a vendor like the others. sorry, but thats just the way it goes. good luck.
