Our photographer offers it to us for free, but I cant see us getting a free day to do this. We're so busy doing stuff........I was wondering.....is anyone waiting until after the wedding?
I have 2 months left and then we'll be married already.
I'd hate to not take them up on their offer, but I have no freakin time to do it......

Re: Is anyone NOT going to take Engagement Pics?
We did them only because I wanted a great and updated picture of both of us together for our sign in mat at the reception. Otherwise, I wouldn't have done it either.

I am also getting married 09/10/05- we just took our e-pics last week. They took about 45 minutes to do & he had the proofs two days later. I am REALLY glad that we took them. They came out really nice. If they are included, make the time. We got 30 pics & they really didnt take long. If your photographer will let you get extra wedding pics, in place of the e-pics...that is also a nice option. Good Luck.

I'm planning on doing them and setting up a montage at my e-party. I also want to incorporate one into the TY for the e-party and possibly use them for the STD. My sister did studio portraits and it wasn't until I started chatting that I saw a wider range of possibilities

Re: Is anyone NOT going to take Engagement Pics?
I was super busy during planning and had to re-schedule the e-shoot twice. I ended up doing them for two reasons:
1) DH and I are not comfortable in front of the camera and consider ourselves 'not so photogenic' so we definitely wanted some time with the photog and tips on loosening up for the big day. It was a fun and casual shoot, and by the time the wedding rolled around we were a lot more comfortable with being in front of the camera.
2) We wanted to do a photo mat with our picture for the guests to sign. Since we think of ourselves as 'not so photogenic' we needed a good picture to put in the thing. Thankfully, we got a few and picked one we both loved.
Ultimately it's your decision, but if it's free, why not? It can't hurt. We did it on a Saturday morning and it took less than 30 minutes.

This is EXACTLY why we ARE doing them! So important to us for this very reason.
