I don't think we're going too. I like a little more of a sleek look.

I don't want them, but I don't want a cake topper either & I worry it will look too plain.

Re: Is anyone not having flowers on their cake?
I'm not into the flowers on the cake. I just think everyone does it, and it's not really 'us', y'know? I would love something similar to this picture, but without the bow thingy on it.

We had a cake topper, but it did not fit on the top of the cake so they displayed it in front of the cake with some petels. I did not think that it looked too plain. I thought it was simple and elegant.

Re: Is anyone not having flowers on their cake?
I have a couple of good pics at home, but none here. I had no flowers, no cake topper. Our cake was white icing with snowflakes drawn on it. It might've looked plain, but it was on a table with red rose petals all around it and little tea light candles. I thought it looked really nice!
heidla- I can't see your cake pic too well- what is going around the edges? Colored icicing? I think that defintely adds to the cake & makes it not look too plain.
I don't mind iceing flowers, I just think its weird to have real flowers on something you are going to eat, even though a lot of people do it.
My friends had slived strawberries on theirs, I thought I was very simple & elegant.

Yes, it was chocolate icing. To go with our black and white wedding.
