Im not right now. I feel as if many of my long term firends are in different direction than me or not into the same interests as me. They all love going out and partying on the weekends and Im so not into that anymore, but at the same time I feel left out of things. I spend alot of time with my dh - maybe I isolate myself but he likes doing the same things as me. BUT he spends lots of time with his friends becuase they all have the same interests as him ( playing video games.) I 've always been a loner sort of so this is nothing new- just wondering if others feel this way

Re: Is anyone not into their friends lately.
I have noticed this about myself within the past 2-3 years. I would have never considered myself a loner before.
I totally understand where you are coming from - although I can apperciate having friends from all walks of life, I would love to have someone going through the same things as me right now guess thats why I spend soo much time here. I would love to have a couple that FH and I could hang out with and be comfortable with. Our friends are either single and partying or married with kids.
Any time you need to talk

i could have written the post you wrote. my old friends (from when I was a teenager) are not very close to me. My close friends now are family and someone quite different from me in many ways but the same in many ways at the same time.

Thats strange that you say this because my best friend from college is now my SIL she is married to my dh brother-- but we are on a different page lately.

Geez, this is the second post today that I am reading that I feel like I could have written myself. I have no use for my friends lately. It's almost like they are standing still in life. It's sad because I love them all, but I almost have nothing to say to them anymore

Re: Is anyone not into their friends lately.
i loooove my friends and i yet am bad at making time. one lives in oregon, another about 20 mins away, but i spend all my free time with fh. i also work a lot of nights, so i don't get to go out at all. it sucks. i got to get better at this. but i too was always a loner. i have 4 siblings, 3 of whom are all older and were on their own when i came around and my younger sister is 7 months old, so i'm used to just being by myself and being comfortable.
