I don't think I want to, do you think it will look like something is missing if I don't? I personally don't like the bubbles and I think if I start adding petals and making the petal cones it's just going to get too expensive, everything else just goes in your hair and down your dress and I don't want that. What do you guys think?

I don't think it will look like something is missing because you walk out first anyway and then greet your guests. I don't think that anyone will notice or it will look like something is missing.

Maybe I'll do bubbles, but I'm not sure. Its not a big deal to me about it.

i feel like most people do it just cause they like the look in pics, not that people really care if they throw things or not, so i doubt anyone would miss it or care if u dont want to do it

I was thinking of doing bubbles also until someone posted that they did bubbles and the bubbles made stains one their dress when they popped on it. That made me decide not to do bubbles..lol

I'm not doing anything either Melissa...I don't like the bubbles...I HATE the birdseed (gets all stuck in your hair and down your dress YUCK)! I like the Rose petals...but FH says...'no one is throwing rose petals at me...thats gay!' LOL He cracks me up!
So...I decided...I'm saving the money!

That's what I was thinking of, I thought the bubbles might not be good on certain materials, especially mine!!

HAHA that's the same thing my FH would say. It's true, cause even if it ends up being a few hundred dollars thats, that much I can spend on something else....feels great being frugle!!!!

ya know i don`t think i`m gonna have anything either. my ceremony is at the RH and right after it is the cocktail hour. all of this is outside so it`s not like i`d be leaving one location to go to the next i will already be there so i wouldn`t even know when to have them throw it lol so i probably wont either

Add me to the non-throwers; church won't allow petals, and I am not interested in birdseed in my cleavage (not that there is much there). i think a bunch of grownups blowing bubbles looks goofy in pix (not knocking anyone!!! and i've happily blown bubbles at other weddings!!!) just not my style. Some folks have used sparklers after the church, particular if your ceremony ends at dusk/twilight, others i've seen have had the ceremony guests hold candles. Any kind of open flame thing is out for me though, too many opportunities for a singed wedding gown with MY group! If you want the look without the expense, ask your photgrapher - they can always superimpose your you two over existing footage of petals or rice or bubbles, whatever... he/she might have other creative effects as well!!

My church doesn't allow you to throw anything... petals, rice, birdseed, etc. They don't even allow rose petals inside the church... the flower girl is to be 'purely symbolic'. It's not really that big of a deal to me... I just don't really get it! They say it's a hazard, but come on... are people really going to slip and fall on a few rose petals!!!

I don't know if we are allowed to throw anything. I really don't want to be fishing wedding rice out of my dress. We were going to have my nephew use one of those bubble guns- but we would need to fill it with no-stain bubbles. I like the look of the pic with the petals being thrown, but I don't know..and I am not patient enough to do petal cones.
We may do the bubbles of just nothing at all.

we were just at a wedding today where the bride ordered butterfly's and everyone released them as they walked down the aisle (outdoor ceremony) and it was really nice.
