Is anyone on here a sonogram/ x-ray technician?

I want to make a career change and I am looking into doing sonograms or being an x-ray technician. I would like to speak to someone to get a little info on the jobs.

Thanks so much! FM me if you like

My FH is a Sonographer or Ultrasound Technician (same thing). He LOVES it and it's much more than telling people what sex they're baby is . . . he doesn't even do that. He finds cancer, he attends in surgery so the surgeon can see where he's going, he scans veins and arteries to find clots, obstructions, etc. He diagnoses anomalies intra-uterine, to determine if there is Down's Syndrome or other problems (never knew they could do that, but they do!)

It's very exciting, and challenging, and he absolutely loves it. I've been to the hospital a bunch of times, and he gets to do more exciting stuff and work more closely with doctors than the x-ray techs do.

Yes we are all new BFF's now!
so the only 2 programs I found out are in Nassau-
the sonogram program at Brandford is about 2 years long- and you have the option of either night school or day school- then there's an internship in a hospital like the last couple months of schooling
and they said if you do well they most likely hire you after.....
thats all i know so far....

My mom did X-Ray for the last 30 years... i wouldn't recommend X-RAy, rather do something more advanced and less likely to give you harmful radiation, such as sonogram or ultrasound.

DH is looking into either radiology or sonographer. Has anyone found info on what schools he should look into. Preferably sonography? The hospital he works at will pay for his schooling so IM trying to find something ASAP!
