i have a cake included in my contract for the reception, but i hear so much about cakes (in magazines) was just wondering if anyone getting special cakes/

we're not, but the place our RH contracts through has done some pretty cool cakes (based on the pictures the RH showed us)....we may have to pay for an upgrade, but probably we'll just choose something that's included. They use only fondant though already, which is what most of the fancy cakes you see are (although some people don't like the taste of fondant!)

we are getting an outside cake...my FH was very adimant about it. we swapped out the hall cake for a seafood boat in the CH instead

Did the same swaped the cake for the Seafood Boat. YEA. Plus Fiancee's fathers family bakes beauriful wedding cakes. So that is where we will be getting ours from. YEA

i'm getting my own cake....I'm going to use the one offered by my RH as a grooms cake...to be honest, i'm not a fan of the wedding cakes at my hall..

The restaurant where we are having the reception works with Audrey's in W. Sayville - our cake will be from there.

we are ordering ours from Lulu's on Union Tpke in Queens- Charlie makes beautiful yummy cakes- I am so/so on reception hall cakes- some have been amazing & some have tasted nasty all have looked nice- but we are fat italians & need good cake

We're just having the cake from the RH. I don't care about cakes too much. I'll be so stuffed from all of the food, I probably won't even eat any!
