to their CH??? My husband is TOTALLLLY against this and I am ALLL for it.. I mean why not??? all u SC brides know how beautiful that room is, I want to be there when the bar comes down from the ceiling, we are planning to have indoor/outdoor CH ( weather permitting) and having a steel band outside I wan to experience it as well! I want to see the piano player! I dont plan to be there for the whole 1 and a half but I dont want to be there maybe towards the last 20 mins!
what do u think??

I want to be there for a half hour in the middle of our CH. That way we can say hi to people and I just want to be there to experience it. I figured we can leave 10/15min before it ends that way we can relax for a little. And hopefully we will have some time before to relax and not still be taking pictures.

I'm totally going!!!!! Not for the entire time, since we need to take pictures....but i'm paying so much money for this beautiful RH, i want to be able to watch some of it. Plus, i'm going to need as much time as possible to say hi to all my guests!
I'm going to try to figure it out with my photographer the best way to not waste my CH taking photos....

same here! my ceremony will be around 2 I plan to take pics right after some in the city ( ceremony will be in the city, and the rest somewhere in LI) I am going to tell him to take the rist of the pics at CH with maybe some guest and HUbby and I playing the steel drums.. and some on the grounds of the SC.. and then I am going to tell them let me breathe and get drunk

LOL, Nice! Our ceremony is at the Sand Castle, so we dont have that middle period to go and take pictures....and i'm not breaking tradition and seeing him beforehand.... Its soemthing were gonna need to discuss with the photo, i dont wanna miss my ch!!

same! some photographers are pushy about seeing the groom first. If they are, i thank them for their time and cross them off my list. I dont want a lot of photos, so i plan to join CH for at least 20 min in end

I def. going ...i mean your paying for it so why not ..so right after the church we are having our pictures done and going right there ...we will prob miss about a half hour thats it but thats better then nothing you know...and at first i didnt want to go but then it got me thinking that we are paying for it and now i dont want to miss it!

You know....i SO totally thought the same exact thing but then i went to meet with Fade to Black....i'm gonna post about it now. The First View idea is so awesome...oh watching it on the videos made me tear up a little.

Were most definetely going to the cocktail hour. As I said in previous posts.. I'm addicted to carbohydrates and were having a mashed potato bar and like a million pasta stations.. so I won't be double fisting alcohol.. I will most definetely be double fisting some sort of carbohydrate!
