i was wondering that...does this count as an 'act of god' - you know the force majeure clause in the contract where you or the vendor can cancel without penalty. i hope not...

I was just talking to my sister about this and she goes OH S**T! you don't even think about this stuff sometimes I feel really bad for these brides I hope that they have some luck! I'm sure they will all be amazing after all the planning! It's like Phobe on that episode of Friends

my college roomate is getting married today at Westbury Manor. Lots of us are unable to make it. I feel terrible! No cancellation though. She has wedding insurance but it can only be used when a state of emergency has been declaired. She moved the wedding from 12 to 1...I wish I was going

I'm getting worried for my wedding in 2 weeks! We should have done late Jan or early Feb! The weather was beautiful!!!
My former co-worker got married in a blizzard about 3 years ago and her wedding made the front page of the Newsday- it was a pic of her with a HUGE grin and getting out of the limo in sneakers! She had a blast tho she had a lot of no shows. Everyone remembers it tho!

I remember the bride gtting out of the limo. I knwo someone who went to the wedding. SHe said Westbury Manor did everything they could to accomodate her.

My parents just came back from church a little while ago and saw a groom and his groomsmen arriving. They all looked in high spirits and excited. A guess not even snow can dampen marrying the love of your life (just add a tremendous amount of stress).

A friend of mine got married two years ago on a day we had a blizzard similar to this. Not many people showed up to the ceremony at the church, but she said all but 7 people showed up to the reception. This weather can make for some beautiful pics.

Our coworkers are going to a wedding today - actually, it should be about now - invite was for 3!!! I was telling FH all day - that poor girl, whoever she is!!!
