We didnt sell, but we bought in December. Closing was soo stressful, I think it made wedding planning feel easy lol

We just signed our contract on Friday... I agree it makes wedding planning seem so easy

we JUST bought on Friday!!!! sooo stressful and to be honest toward the end just before closing, I put all wedding planning on hold because between work, studying and the house there was no time or room in my head for more gray hair lol so the wedding planning had to wait. (even LIW had to wait) But it's worth it!!! Good luck, let me know if you need any help.

We closed in October, officially moved in in December. The wedding had really been on the back burner for a while. We are finally getting back in the swing of things!!!
But August to September was pretty stressful! We were working on closing on the house and needed to book a RH!

I would love to buy a home before getting married, but FH and I aren't going to be able to swing it financially due to the cost of the wedding. We will probably rent for a least a year and then look into buying a co-op or condo.
Good luck to the girls who are doing both!! I'm sure it's stressful but it will be sooooo worth it in the end!!!!

We aren't selling but we are in the process of buying a co-op and it's more stressful than planning the wedding!!

We're planning to buy a house by the end of this year/beginning of next. My mom is paying for majority of wedding so that's not really an issue but still, i'm stressed b/c FH and I don't live by ourselves so we don't have much to put in a house. We're gonna have to buy everything (bed, furniture etc.)

Stressful, yes...Crazy, no! We bought our house in October and that took up a lot of time, but by the new year we got back on track with wedding planning. ITA it makes wedding plan seem like a breeze!

we didn't sell but we closed in November and have been renovating which is the most stressful thing I've ever gone through.
I thought we were going to get engaged a year after we got the house but FH proposed the day we closed so not my idea to do two things at once but can't wait to start our life together as husband and wife in our own home!!

We just closed three weeks ago and it was pretty stressful but worth it now I put wedding planning on hold for awhile but now we'll start back up! Good luck!

not during but directly after the wedding we are planning on saving up right away and looking around for houses. This wedding will be completely paid off before the big day so that anything we do get from the wedding in gifts is going directly to house savings.
We both would really love to be in a house before we start thinking about kids and we would like start after our 1 year anniversary

We are in the process of buy my moms house. There is an apartment in it (which we live in now) so that will help financially. Monthly payments do scare me as much as the idea of something breaking!!!

we are closing soon- definitely very stressful. Thankfully my FH has done most of the house stuff, while I've focused on the wedding stuff. The plan was to get all the major vendors booked before moving so that we can take a break from wedding stuff to get the new house in order.
