Oh that sux. But in a way it will be over soon and it will be a happy day. I am okay. So much left to do. Still need to choose flowers and cake. Started dance lessons and it seems like 10 lessons is not enough.

We just started dance lessons too! Are you doing private lessons?

Yes we are. Monday is our 3rd lesson. But we still cant decide on our song. Its driving me crazy.

We picked a song first and then decided what type of dance would go best with the song. I think it helped. We have only had one lesson so far. What songs are you considering? Where are you taking lessons?

When you tell me that you love me by Diana Ross and Westlife. FH likes it but I am not crazy about it. In Brooklyn on 70st and 18 Ave but I dont know the name b/c FH found it. What about you?

Re: Is anyone still up?

It is a pretty song. It is a little slow...what don't you like about it? It took FH and I MONTHS to agree on a song. HE did not like anything I picked. We are using Can't take my eyes off of you By Frankie Valli for our first dance. It is a fun song to dance to. We are taking our lessons at You Should be Dancing in Manhattan it is right across the street from Penn Station. Fh use to work there part time a few years ago (it was a second job) answering phones and setting up appointments. He took Salsa lesson with our instructor for a few years. So I was a little nervous at first but so far so good.

Well you see what happened was that he told me to pick a song and for a long time I wanted a Russian song about a bride. Last minute he listens to it and doesn't like it that much. So night before the lesson I found When you tell me that you love me and now he likes it a lot. I just cant picture dancing to it at the wedding. But at the same time I don't hate the song. My dress will be big so we need a slow song. Is that place in the city expensive? Our lessons are $60, which is great I think.

Re: Is anyone still up?

The rate is $70/lesson for a package of 10 lessons but I think FH got a small discount. The lessons were part of my Christmas present so he never disclosed the actual price...but when I got upset about the cost he told me he did not pay as much as I thought he did...

Can you use both songs at the wedding maybe one for your first dance and on later in the night. Another option would be to ask your dance instructor for song suggestions.

No. Can you suggest anything? By the way, where are you getting your shoes? I ordered my from dance teacher. They seem comfortable but I didn't try them on in my size. I ordered silver sandals 2.5 heel. I wanted white but didn't like any that they had.

Re: Is anyone still up?

I am using my wedding shoes for dance classes- It is important that I am comfortable dancing in them. I bought silver strappy sandles from DSW. The dance school does not require us to wear ballroom shoes. Thankfully!
There are a lot of great songs are you looking for something modern or classic?
I like I can't help falling in love with you by Elvis
At last is really pretty.
Lucky by Jason Mraz

That's great. My also doesn't require ballroom shoes but its hard for me to find something comfortable. So I figured if they dance on them, I can handle wearing them at the wedding. I guess anything that will sound good. Ill listen to the songs you posted right now.

Re: Is anyone still up?

Ballroom shoes are good for dancing but I am not sure how comfortable they are for just walking around- I have heard mixed reviews. I think any shoes you dance in for 10 hours will get pretty well broken in.

Oh wow. I wish I knew that before I ordered them.
