Is anyone thinking about

adding a half hour to your cocktail hour?

We are having our ceremony at the same place where the reception will be. And I don't want to see him before the ceremony for pics so that leaves us with the cocktail hour to get all of our pics in. So I was thinking maybe we'll add a half hour onto the cocktail hour so we can actually eat after we take pics and make our big entrance. Anyone have any idea how much extra that might cost??? And as a guest how would you feel about this?

Re: Is anyone thinking about

We are getting married at the RH too. Because our ceremony will only be 30 minutes, they are going to open up the cocktail hour as soon as the ceremony is over which will end up making the CH an hour and a half.

I REALLY didn't want to see FH before the ceremony but EVERYONE from our DOC to photographer to our RH's BM to reviews I've seen here said that we are soooo much better off getting the pictures done before the ceremony. Trust me that extra half our at the CH isn't going to give you any more time to enjoy your CH..but I'm sure the guests will love it.

My cocktail hour is an hour and 15 minutes, so that gives me plenty of time to greet everyone and enjoy the CH myself.

Thank you so much for posting that! I have never heard of doing that before. We are having our ceremony at our location also and I think an extra half hour would be awesome! I am going to have to ask about that!

I didn't know you can do it.
I don't think we need to........I always have to ask Santina and see what she does since she is my RH twin

That's awsome!!!
Did they throw it in before or after you booked. I'm going to have to work on a strategy on how to go about this.

tney gave us an 'extra half hour' during the dinner but after we booked we convinced her to move it to cocktail since our dinner was already 5 hours!!

Re: Is anyone thinking about

i added an extra hour to the wedding and split it up between the CH and Reception
CH is 1.5
Reception is 4.5
i dont think they charged that much...i would ask your hall about prices

I added an hour, want to split up between CH and Reception - I would def. add if you are having your ceremony there! Want to make the day last as long as possible!

That's a great idea. I know what you mean about it lasting as long as possible. I'm kinda bummed because my ceremony is at 5:30pm and it just seem so early but if I changed it to 6:30 my RH would change the location of where the ceremony is and to me that's not really negotiable.
