Is anyone using a lasso during the ceremony?
It's a hispanic tradition that Im considering, but I was wondering at what part of the ceremony is it supposed to be done. Is anyone doing this? If so, are you also doing the exchange of coins?
Search in your own words. Try “outdoor wedding venues” or ask a wedding planning question.

My mom would like for me to do the lasso but I didn't grow up very culturally hispanic so I have no clue how/when to do this. She would also like for us to do the flowers to Mary or something but I have never heard of the coins I am sure she has and would want us to also., Could you explain the coins to me?
My mom said its to ensure the prosperity of the couple. I did a search on it though and it says it is a symbol from the groom to the bride that he is responsible for taking care of her (how old fashioned is that). Anyway, I want to do the coins because my mom still has her coins and its traditional to pass them down to your daughter. From what I know, the BM has to had the coins to the groom, who then passes them on to the bride who then gives them to her MOH to hold. I just want to use them to keep the tradition in my family.
So you should do this. I would if my parents had like this sort of tradition. The only real thing that we are doing hispanic related is one blessing given in spanish during the ceremony, La Marcha during the reception, and I think that is about it
I have never heard of either tradition (some hispanic I am). Can you please explain the lasso one. Thanks
Thanks, I just learned something new today. I'm going to ask my Mom if she's heard of these before.
My FI is also italian. I explained the customs to him, and he said it was all good by him. I asked him if he wanted to incorporate any italian customs, but he declined.
