Is anyone using a Wedding Consultant/Party Planner?

I'm considering getting someone to help me with my wedding plans.

Does anyone know what this could cost? I don't want to spend a fortune. Any recommendations?

Anna, welcome to the boards I would love to help you, but don't know of anyone who has used a consultant. I didn't use one myself, because I had so much experience helping my sister plan her wedding, I had a good idea what to do for myself. Best of luck though

At first I thought I needed it, because I had no idea what I wanted. But then I found that if I concentrated on one thing at a time, for instance, first thing was reception hall and church/ceremony cite. Once I decided on that, I chose my band/DJ. And I keep doing it like that, just one thing at a time, and I found that it's not so stressful that way.
