Is anyone wearing two different dresses for the ceremony and reception? Im thinking about getting a simpler dress to change into in the middle of the reception. What do you think?

I'm getting a second dress to change into for the after party. We're having an afternoon wedding...then continuing the party at the hotel party. I'm going to get a short, white party dress to change into that that.

I'm doing two dresses! My ballgown is for the ceremony and most of the reception. I'm changing into my second dress about an hour before the reception ends. We have an afterparty booked from 1am-3am so I'll be wearing the second dress for the last hour of the reception and the afterparty. Here's a pic! Good luck!!!

I am getting 2. I am wearing the traditional big dress for the ceremony and a slimmer sexier dress half way through the reception

i did...i changed into the 2nd dress after the first dance (after we took all of our pics...and i made sure to get one with us and the cake before i changed).
i loved my first dress but it was fluffy (big)...and a little heavy. i wanted to be comfortable dancing.

no i will not be changing. i love my dress & with the expensive of it i can't see wearing it for less time.

I feel the same way! I know that I will not want to take my dress off at all, I love it too much. But, I do see why girls do change into a different dress, I guess it depends on the 1st dress. I met a girl that said she changed into a second dress, since her 1st dress weighed 40 lbs....wow! So, I understand.
As for me, I cant imagine taking my dress off and know its going to be so hard to eventually have to take it off.

it depends what my main dress will llook like. if its the 1 it hink img etting..then no. cuz its a sweetehart line and i look like a stripper.
if im getting something more conservative im def getting a 2nd dress. i have 1 in mind but i have a feeling its 4k.

I'm considering changing into an Indian outfit in the middle of my reception. But I was also thinking of changing into a simpler dress for the reception. It's all really up to you, what you want to do.

im planning on wearing 2 dresses.. a long one for the ceremony all the way until right before we cut the cake.. I am goin to change into a cute short dress... and I will stay in it until after the after party..:)

I thought about it but my dress was expensive enough, I didn't want to spend more and then wear both for less time. It's totally up to you though...if it's in your budget and you want to, why not?

That;s similar to my engagement dress! i had that in green!! LOVE THE DRESS!

OMG I'm sooo in love with that first dress! it's soooo beautiful! Now I wish I didn't buy my dress already so i could try that one on!
