Is anyone writing their own vows??

Why or why not? anyone have any examples?

nope...sticking to traditional vows...something special about them bc ppl have said them for centuries....

I want to, but I dont know if I can yet, I have to speak to our priest and see if they let you do it in a catholic wedding

ps: You can write your own for a Catholic ceremony (with in reason of course)

I like the idea of using the same vows people have been using forver- my parents, his parents our grandparents it's traditional and they all have/had the best marriages!

Yes. Mostly we will follow tradition but we will be saying something special for each other.

Both my honey and i are poets and it would be a huge disappointment to both of us if on such an important date neither of us could be creative...

i have a poem that i wrote for fh that i read to him the night b4 he proposed some of my friends that heard it said they would make nice vows...still mulling it over!

We are. I know how I feel but I don't know how to put it on paper. LP;.....any suggestions since you're doing the vows. I'll be too nervous to say them so we'll ask the rabbi to say them
