IS ANYONE'S MOTHER BECOMING A WEDDING-ZILLA????

I love my Mom to Death. She is one of my Best Friends and we have a great relationship, BUT>>>>> SHE ALWAYS HAS SOMETHING TO SAY............... I just told her that we might have to delay our honeymoon until a couple of months after the wedding because of buying a house and she flipped!!

'You have to do what you have to do' Well you know what???? I WILL... I don;t want to delay it, but there is only so much money to go around......

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH Calgone Take me away!!!!

I understand....After a slight arguement with my Mom last week, I finally talked about the wedding again last night it was like being tortured....

I feel your pain

I actually have a different problem - my FMIL has way too much to say, and frankly I won't talk to her about anything that has to do with the wedding because she actually cries and talks about her 'chest pains' until she gets her way.... my mom sees how much stress that weirdo is putting us under and totally backs off. So maybe there is a good side to your mom offering suggestions... I think its nicer than not getting any opinion at all.

I don;t have that problem with my FMIL, She just wants to help and if she gives too much of an opinion, well my FH puts her in her place. ( Not that he has had to do that often)

Chest pains are something else. Sounds like she is having a hard time letting go of your fh and letting him have another woman in his life!!!

GOOD LUCK WITH THAT

I try to talk to my mom the least as possible about the wedding. She always says that the $$ we're spending would be better for a house. She's always complaining about everything being expensive. All I say, is welcome to the wedding business.

My mother has passed away. However, the FMIL, oh yes. She does enough for my mother, herself, and me!

I feel bad to hear this. I'm very lucky that my mom is so great. She's supportive, and doesn't but in at all. She just goes with the flow. My FMIL has been really great too. She's paying for the RD, bought our leather couch, and gave us silverware. It's the rest of our families that are driving us nuts!
