Is everyone using Wedding Programs?

I'm not sure what to do. We aren't getting married in church and my mother seems to think it isn't necessary.

i doubt it.

i usually glance at them and then leave them on the seat. i never actually read the whole thing so i'm not going to spend money on them.

i doubt it. we are probably doing fans (it is an outdoor July wedding) and petal cones, so programs might be too too much.

if i have free time and some spare $$$ at the end of my planning, then maybe......

YES! I just went to a wedding w/o them and I was dying to know what readings they were doing, who was who and blah, blah, blah! It really adds that 'personal' touch!

Do you have to do one if you are in a church?? I was planning on doing one but I was just wondering...

I would like to do them even though they aren't typically done at Jewish weddings. I will order them on my own though. Mom doesn't like the idea.

I'm getting married at the hall and I'm still having them

We didn't, we had a church wedding but it was a ceremony only so we thought programs were unecessary.

I think I am going to, almost definitely. I think it does add a nice touch and I know that all the older folk will appreciate it, and I always read the wedding programs

that's really a nice idea especially if you're not having a formal ceremony.

I'm getting married at the hall and I'm making programs. I don't think it's ever necessary, but if you like the look, go for it.

We got married at the hall, are interfaith, were married by a unitarian minister, and had a custom ceremony so I thought they were very necessary.

Keep in mind you may be getting married in a traditional religious ceremony but are all of you guests of that religion? Will they be familiar with the ceremony?

I love that idea, I might have to 'steal' it from you. So creative.
