I think TECHNICALLY they are both right, but I always thought we (in the US) spell it honor and people overseas (like in the UK) spell it with a 'u.' My best friend lives in london and now always spells things with a u. Like colour.

Re: is Honour a word
I believe Honour is used only when you are getting married in a house of worship.
Even though we are getting married at a church I still used honor (I don't like the way it looks with the U, it justs looks off to me)

Re: is Honour a word
i have been looking at my invites all day (i've posted before that A. they are folded and B. FH wrote the wrong year on the RSVP card) then i saw honour and i was like that doesn't look right !?!?
maybe I am subconsciously just looking for a way to get new invitations :

Re: is Honour a word
Yeah I'm British and I wanna say that I would write honour for people back home and honor here, because there are a LOT of words like that, favourite, colour, behaviour, flavour...etc etc

Re: is Honour a word
you can spell it either way. I coud be wrong but I think you are supposed to use 'Honour' when it's a church wedding (I feel like I read that somewhere)
