Is it a bad idea to stuff invitations a few weeks in advance?
I'm trying to get as much done as possible as early as possible because I have a lot going on between work and the wedding. Anyway, I plan on sending my invitations out either 7/21 or 7/28, but I stuffed them last night. Is this a bad idea? Are you supposed to wait until right before you send them to stuff them?

It does not make a difference - I stuffed mine over a course of two weeks before I sent them out - Whatever schedule works for you

It's not a bad idea. Stuff away! I think it's better to have them sitting around all put together, than in separate parts. Too easy to loose something.

No, not a big deal. Mine would have been stuffed 2 months ago if I didn't have to wait for the new stamp to come out!! If you have the time to do it-do it!!

Hey date twin! I have to say I'm glad to hear the dates you are planning to send your invitations out! I was getting nervous that I was behind because I haven't sent mine yet. I am planning for them to be send around the same time as you....so phew! And I think it's totally fine that you stuffed them, at least it's done! Mine haven't even gone to the printer yet!

No! I think it is an excellent ideas. My invites came in at the last minute and I had to do it in two nights after work. Your way is much better.

I think its fine that you are stuffing them. Just make sure you don't seal them yet till you are sure you are ready to send them out. I ruined a good batch doing that.

I hear you're 'supposed' to send them out 6 to 8 weeks in advance, so you're more than fine! FH wants to send them out now! Part of me would love to get it done now as well, but I figure 2 months in advance should be good.

I stuffed mine about that long before I sent them too!
The only bad thing about stuffing them in advance is waiting to send them out

a few weeks? I stuffed mine a few MONTHS before I sent them out!

I don't think it makes a difference ~ I did not seal them until the night before I brought them to the post office just because i was paranoid i forgot to put something in the envelope!

Not at all. I had stuffed mine half way, because I didn't mark the rsvp with the #'s to match my list.
Now I just have to pick up more stamps. Whatever you can get done ahead of time is great.

We did it and everything was fine!
We didn't seal them until the night before we mailed them. I was terrified I'd forget something or want to change something -- so we left them open just in case.
