Is it bad luck to use the items from your shower before the wedding? With POLL

Someone told me that its bad luck to use the items that you got at the shower before the wedding? I never heard of that...

Is this true?

i have actually eaard from a friend who used some things from her e-party and the shower that some of her platters chiped...I vase broke...

So I vote not using it....

I never heard that before. And i hope it's not true cause we've used some stuff from our eparty a few times now.

i just had my shower and weve used a ton of stuff already lol...i heard that it is bad luck but i dont care we needed some of this stuff!

I hope not because I have been using a lot of stuff from my shower...lol The only thing my mom said not for me to use was my bedding. According to her that should wait until after but other then that FH and I have used a lot of stuff from my shower.

I never heard of that but, I did hear the in the Jewish tradition, I am 1/2 jewish, that it is bad luck to have a bridal/baby shower before the wedding/baby cause something could go wrong. So I say use it!!!!

I think it's not only bad luck but in bad taste. Sorry!!!! Until you are married no shower or wedding presents should be used in case something goes wrong.

I've never heard of this superstition. The only one I've heard of and still forgot to follow was that unmarried women were supposed to make your bed.

all of my stuff from my eparty and things off our registry are in his parents basement-we wont use it until we have a new place. right now we are renting and i will use it when we are able to move into our own place that we own
