I haven't booked my makeup or hair yet? I am getting married in 6 months and I booked everything else! I cannot find a makeup or hair person!! Any suggestions please???? I had a trial with Jillian-I really thought she was great but wasn't crazy about how I looked-I had a look in mind and even though she did a great job it wasn't what I wanted. I called Oksana but we're playing phone tag. Anybody with hair or makeup prefably on Long Island???

I am using Maureen Padala. She is in the City but will travel to your house on the day of the wedding.

Same here. I'm also using her sister, Claudia, for hair. You might want to start looking pretty soon though because I remember calling some of the more popular people back in August and they were already booked for July '05! Those wedding magazines that say you can wait til 3-4 months before the wedding don't know how fast we LI/NY girls move!

Hair - april from creative designs...she's a vendor here.
Make UP - traditional - Dina from beautiful possibilities another LI vendor. Her and April work together a lot, but you don't have to book both
airbrush - I had a trial w/Marie Katz last night and I love her...she's an LI vendor and you can see my pictures on the 06 board

There is a makeup thread on here. With your coloring I would go with a smoky eye and a pale pink lipstick. You have dark coloring and that would look great. It seems she went to heavy on the warm tones and because your skin is so dark it's just too much IMO.Let me see if I can find the makeup thread. Do a search for the makeup thread and bring pics when you find your artist

I used Denise from Angel Eyes, she's awesome! She's located in Huntington, where you would go for your trial, and she'll come to you day of. I used her as a BM in a friend's wedding, for my wedding, and will use her as the MOH in my BF's wedding. We all love her.
