A friend of mine has over a dozen tall glass vases that she used for her reception. Would it be OK to ask the florist to use them so I don't have to pay extra for tall CPs? Like, just have them make the top part?

I mean, I don't wanna come off cheap or tacky, but it's a valid question! I want tall CPs but I'm not crazy about the price.

Re: Is it cheaper to do this? RE: Flowers
My friend bought her own vases for her wedding and used Flower Michele and from what she said they had no problem using them.
I would definitely do that. But my florist actually told me that there is a difference in size between tall and short centerpieces. They tend to make tall centerpieces fuller, and that is why they are more expensive, not because of the vases. Just a thought....

I would call the florist and ask them if you get a discount for using your own vases....
Don't be embarrassed to do this if you can save some money and have the vases available...go for it

the florist i got a quote from told me if i get my own vases it's cheaper because the vase price isn't going to be included in your quote

I'm going for like a medium sized tall CP...A tall vase with a smaller top part...Its hard to describe. Thanks!

I don't think they'd have a problem with that - I've heard of people doing that before

I bought all my own glassware for my CPs and my florist was fine with this. It made my CPs cheaper

Absolutely! If they are what you are looking for then why not use them? It's def cheaper than renting the florist's vases,
