Is it ghetto to only have one envelope?

Original post by LBride

I didn't realize the invite didn't come with an inner envelope and I didn't order it separately. I don't have a reception card so there's not that much to go in the envelope, but do you think it will look bad? The outer envelope has a dark gray liner.

I did the same thing and was sooo pissed about it. I couldn't order inner envelopes after the fact because it would've required re-ordering the outer envelopes in a bigger size (and there was no way we were paying to have lined envelopes printed with the return address twice).

Anyway, I was afraid it would look cheesy, so I bought some ribbon at Michael's that matched the invitations and these 'glue dots'. I basically wrapped a ribbon around each 'package' so there was something holding the invitation, reception card and response cards together...I got a ton of compliments on it.

I was really upset too, but in the grand scheme, no one noticed I didn't have inner envelopes...It's really no big deal.

My invites did not even come with an inner envelope. Really I think it's just a waste of trees and postage anyway. Don't sweat it!
