My job gave me name change forms. I looked at it and freaked out. I don't know what to write! Then I started wondering what people will call me and the freak out got bigger. Has this happend to anyone else? I'm probably just being crazy. lol

it happened to me too - i got back from my HM and my name was changed on my computer and my desk - so strange! it's not officially done through DMV or SS yet but it's in the process! ahhh

LOL..yeah that happpened to me a few days ago when they ordered my new business cards and name tag...I was like ick!!! I don't like it LOL!!

I have students calling me by my maiden name and by my married name...I'm just answering to EVERYTHING Then my students from last year don't know who Mrs. K is, but my students from this year don't know who Ms. R is....I'm gonna have to be phased in

Same here....students call me whatever they feel like that day so I answer to everything. lol. I guess next year I'll start fresh with just one name. Everyone likes my old last name because it is much easier to say. You can't mess up a 4 letter last name. lol

I trained my students since September to use my now married name. It is working - and they help the adults in the building to get it right lol.
BUT - in terms of freaking out - today I did. I went to SS which went real smooth. But then I started calling places to change my name, and it got nightmarish with people who couldn't spell what I was spelling to them, and so on.
I'm happy to have changed it, but it's stressful!

i know the feeling. they changed my name on my mail box at work and left some tax forms, etc. i was like I have yet to go to SS and to the DMV!

Got married in April and still haven't changed my name. Right after the New Year and taxes I will though
