Is it just me or do you not like surprises either

I must be anal or some. I mean about the wedding,not knowing things. I find that very odd and it makes me uneasy to not know an important detail about my wedding. I can't be alone here. Does anybody else want to know everything about their wedding and want no surprises from FH or anybody else. I know it is very sweet but it makes me uneasy nonetheless

Its funny you say that because this topic came up recently with my FH and myself. He says he loves to give surprises to me and his family. I said I hate to be surprised. I just like to know everything in advanced. I guess it has to do with my personality. I like to plan things and get them done in advance, nothing left to chance. My sister doesn't like surprises either but I think its because she doesn't want someone to know something she doesn't and have to worry it she won't like it.

It will be tough keeping my dress from FH because I wish I could tell him but I think THAT should definitely be a surprise. I wish my bridal party would tell me about my shower and all but we will see about that. I should want to be surprised but I can't do it!

I love surprises!! It prevents having to act like you are surprised when you're really not....Twice now people have slipped about my shower (once for the one my mom and MOH threw and just today for the one at work)

My FH also hates surprises. But, with regard to the wedding I don't want to build everythign up and ultimately be disappointed because things didn't turn out exactly as I had plans. Too many details will make me worry more.

Nope you aren't anal.. I hate surprises, too! That's why I'm such a control freak about the wedding, and I'm doing everything myself (not having anyone really help me, per se. even FH just comes along on appointments but i bascially do it all myself!)

Thank goodness FH knows this and doesn't try to plan any HUGE surprises.. he still does little things, though, just because

I, on the other hand, LOVE to surprise him! And he likes it too...

What detail are you talking about?

my FH know that I can't be surprised. He didn't even attempt to propose-- We just bought a ring together. We both like it that way.

I usually guess my presents too, although this year I was surprised for Christmas.

with wedinstuff, if tis soemthign I knwo about, i dont' wna tot be surpires ( like I if I knwo I'm having a shower, i don't want to be surpriesd about a date & place) but out of nowhere surprises are nice- like if he had flowers sent to my house the morning of our wedding or something.
