Is it me

Or is anyone else feeling overwhelmed with all this planning, when we got engaged I thought everything would be a breeze, now I am living on a budget and I cant believe how much this is going to cost me anyway I just wondering if anyone esle felt the same way

I can't stand how it brings out the worst in people. You are trying to plan a nice affair, within a budget, and everyone is really keen on tellling you how to spend your money, and what they think you should do, and hurt feelings over bizarre things.....I'm amazed so many people do this......this board helps though...like a sanity check

I constantly go over the numbers on the calculator, as if one of these days they will change I've even rethought my spring date to a winter one thinking about saving money. I've thought about Friday night, Sunday night, during the week. Then I wake up and realize I picked my date for a reason and it'll be okay...

I was there with you - I totally lost it a few weeks ago when I finally tallied all of the budget items and realized how much this was going to cost us!$!$!$!$! Then my FI stopped me and reminded me why we're planning so far out - to save the money and not going into crazy debt. Once he calmed me down, I got back to the budget thing, and found a way to make it work - I hope.

I'm trying to to stress over every detail, since I know there will be problems the day of, that I simply can't avoid. I'm also trying to stay within what we want out of the day, and not let everyone else convince me that something's important, if it isn't really that important to me...
