Is it more important for my mom to be at my first fitting or the last fitting if she can't come to both?
Hey,
I'm sure you all know that I live OOT by now. My mom wants to come to my dress fitting but she can't come to both. Which one is it better for her to come to? I was thinking tthat the first fitting is where most of the alterations would come from so that this one would be more important.
What do you ladies say? Especially those who have had both fittings.
ETA: Also, can you state the reason why you said either option?

er - I hit the wrong one. I meant to say it is more important for her to be at the last one b/c she can make sure all of the last minute details are taken care of. I would just take photos of yourself in the dress at your first fitting and send them to her. Lisa

I live OOT and I came down for her shopping, trying on, and first fitting. My mother went with her for the rest of her fittings.
I did, however, feel left out at some points of the gown fittings, but I had traveled for everything that I needed to be with her for. She is my only daughter so it was important for me to make arrangements to do what I had to do and I loved every minute of being with her.

The last one to me is more important. It's your last chance to speak up if there is ANYTHING you want done with the dress. By the time the last fitting comes, you think you are very in tune but your mind is wandering, your excited ect...you're just not great at the attention to every little detail. Mom's are perfect for that.
