To tip the photographer and videographer? I just find it weird to do because you are paying the company so much money. I don't mind doing it but I rather do it AFTER i see the vidoe and pictures....i won't be able to pay too much attention that day and would like to see the end product first.
So would it be wrong to tip AFTER the wedding? Like sending an envelope to the photographer.....I don't want to do that either...did anyone do this

we didn't tip ours because they were the owners, but we did tip the assistant. actually somehow the assistant left before we could tip her so I brought a thank you card with a tip in it for her when we picked up our proofs

Yes it is necessary to tip the photographer and video guy.
They only get paid a certain amount. The rest of the money goes towards developing your pictures, etc. They are their with you the whole day from when your getting ready to the end of the reception.
These are the 2 most important vendors you have that day. These are the 2 memories you will have the rest of your life.
They are their to make sure you have your memories.

I don't plan on tipping b/c they are the owners & the video guy works for himself... I am feeding him though...He didn't state it in the contract, but I thought it would be nice...
