not if you dont want them. I am using the menus the rh provides and decided against programs. my ceremony is 30 min with no readings or anything so i didnt think it was necessary

i did menus real cheap on vistaprint and didnt to programs at all...

you don't have to - I just did menus, not programs because I liked the idea- don't think anyone really looked at them though

i won free menu's thats the only reason why i had them. otherwise the hall would of done them for me.
