Are ceremony programs really necessary??? I figure that everybody knows why they are there. It just seems like an added expense and extra time to put them together. Plus, personally, I have never kept any program of any weding I have ever been to.
Would it seem cheap if I didn't have the programs???

I think programs are a personal preference...
I have never gotten a program at any weddings I have been to, and I did not even think of them...
In fact, I never heard of wedding programs till I came onto LIW!

It's a nice touch- but not at all necessary - it's not like anyone's going to walk into the ceremony, sit down and say 'hey where are the programs ??'

I think for a church wedding it's more important, people in church can follow along with it and for people who don't usually attend a church wedding (80% of our guest will be Jewish), they'll know what to expect (the general course of events). I'm doing them for this reason.

i did them as a added touch because i wanted to remember my dad in them but i dont think you have to do it. its personal choice

not necessary... but cute
Just make up a program on microsoft word and get cute paper from Michaels and print them up...really easy... and shouldn't be too much money...
