Is it necessary to have 2 photographers for the day of?

When we originally booked w/our photographer we only booked her. She however has an assistant that works w/her who happens to be her boyfriend. Since I am getting ready at the hall and my FH at his brothers then heading over to the hall, we didn't think it would be necessary to have an additional photographer taking pics of him at his brothers house. Of course..I changed my mind and thought it would be nice to have pics of him getting ready also, but her assistant isn't available anymore he has a wedding the same day. Now we can get one..but would have to pay..and I'm not sure it's worth the $$. What do you think?

Honestly, for the money it costs....I would just stick with one. It really is the bride getting ready that is amazing to capture on film. Guys where tuxes quite often and there really is no metamorphasis. So, stick to one photographer. You are the one in the amazing white dress!!!

I was thinking about adding a second one also.

i have 3, it came with the package we got, we have one for my house one for FH, and one girl whose only job is candid shots

We only had 1 at Patken & I got all the pics I wanted. He left my house a half hour early to meet the guys at the church to get their pics.

We are going with two, because the photographer can't be at two places at once. One of the pics I really wanted was of FH reaction the first time he sees me walking down the aisle.
