for a proof of an invite you are ordering online. I would just think they would do this out of courtesy to make sure they do your invite correct. But a couple of companies I notice charge you for a proof. It is not even the actual invite it is a paper faxed

I know when I was looking to use Princess Invitations.com you paid for a proof and I think the charge was credited to you if you decided to purchase from there.

Re: Is it normal to charge
We were charged for our proof. It wasn't much but I was pretty annoyed about it too. But I have to say, I got the fax and realized that I made a mistake when I gave them my RSVP date. If I hadn't paid the $6 for the fax proof, I wouldn't have caught it until I got the invites. It seemed worth it to me at that point.

I had to pay $10 a proof when I did my Save the Dates with Aurthor Williams... but well worth it!

I don't think it is not worth it to have the proof. I just feel it should be included in the price of buying invites not an extra charge. JMO

I think this is a normal charge. I paid $20 for a pdf proof.

Party city told me not to waste my money on a proof because if anything was wrong with the invite they would send it back and correct it. Oh well I just ordered the invites from Exclusively weddings and just got the proof. But I still think it should be included in the price for the whole package of invites you will receive.

Re: Is it normal to charge
I have seen it as the norm and honestly I can't believe they charge a few bucks to send an email.

Re: Is it normal to charge
I believe it is normal and okay to have to pay for a proof. People are still putting there time into creating it for you- So they should be paid for it (time is $$$)...I only paid about $6.00 for my proof-so maybe I don't have much to complain about.

Re: Is it normal to charge
if its their error you don't pay for another proof. That is just bad business (i am a designer and if its my error its my fault not yours) if you don't like something or its your error then yes you get charged most likely. Its worth it though .. otherwise your stuck with something you don't like or incorrect!
